Is There Any Doubt

Three Muslims Indicted for Exporting Military Equipment and Secrets

By Jim Kouri - Fresno, CA
TCV News
September 09, 2006

"Three Islamic men were indicted on Friday by a federal grand jury in Fresno, California, for illegally exporting sensitive military equipment -- including body armor and chemical protective suits -- to Yemen, as well as dealing in US government secrets."

Is there any doubt as to who the enemy is?  This is just another  episode in a series of American Muslims showing loyalty to the Islmo-facists.

If you continue on in the above article you will find that all three were Americans. Or so they claim to be, who knows what their real reasons for being in this country are in the first place. It is no real secret that there are sleeper cells in this country just waiting for the right word to act.   So all of this really doesn't come as much suprise.

And note above as to where this technology was headed. Thats right folks, the Middle East. And don't you just know that this stuff would definately fall into the wrong hands. I mean to say, why for instance, would Yemen need such technology, especially Bio-Chem protective suits, unless they planned to pass along or at best sell that technology to someone that had more of a need to use them.

Ending the Hyphenated American

Just Call Me Average Joe American

Op-Ed
BY Richard Woitowtiz
The Bluecollar Conservative Website

Allow me to preface this commentary with a quote from President Theodore Roosevelt:

"It is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American,"

Many times in my life I have had the following kind of conversation:

“What kind of American are you?”

To which I replied;

“Why I am native born in this country, I am just your average Joe American”

“No but I mean what KIND of American are you? Italian, Jewish, Spanish, you know like that?”

“I am just an American, period, that’s it nothing more nothing less”

Usually that leaves my inquisitor walking away and shaking his head in non-understanding. Or what is even worse they walk away, with this look of bewilderment as to why I just don’t get it, as EVERYONE is some KIND of American.

Too often in this politically correct environment we constantly hear or read about this type of American or that type of American. We never hear about any person unless it includes him or her as some type of American. That person is usually describe as African-American, Italian American, Arab-American, and so on until one is pretty much sick of hearing it.

The advent of multi-culturalism has made this a fact of reality. And it is one that is causing the fracturing of the original concept of the “Melting Pot” To often in this time that we live in we are constantly witnessing the non-assimilation of immigrants that are coming to our shores. It is now more natural to still identify with one’s point of origin instead of one’s choice of exit. (BTW, I would add here that this is not just a national problem here in the state, but it is fast becoming a European one as well, probably even faster that it is this country)

Why is this so?

Well for starters it is the opinion of this writer that the liberal left has made it a mainstay of their powerbase to constantly “define and pigeon-hole” all types of people into groups as to portray themselves as a diverse and excepting party, and to promote the concept of multi-culturalism to continually divide this nation into factions thereby always pitting one against the other. This divides and conquer strategy in turn yields a much more manageable way to create a dependency on government, which in the end is their goal.

In addition there is now seems to be no loyalty in today’s new naturalized American. Too often many come here for the blessings of this nation, but their alliances still lie with the mother country. Witness the immigrants from predominantly Spanish speaking nations and you will find that they are the most vocal opponents to any form of immigration legislation. Why is that? Again partly it is the left, that steers them in that direction, but to me it appears more of a mindset as why are you picking on my country? I work for the USPS, as some of you may know and many are the times that I have spoken to a naturalized American citizen that have referred to their original country as “my country”

The people that came to this country during the mass immigration period of the late 1880’s into the early 1900’s were of a different mindset. Their whole reason for being here was to; “become an American!” My grandmother once was asked the same question that I was asked above, and her response was, and I remember this clearly (in her accented English;

“I am an American! I come from Russia to BECOME American, and now I AM American!”

Such were the sentiments of many others that came over during that period.  There was pride in thier voices at achieving such a goal, and nothing, NOTHING in this world was going to change that, there was no going back.

Now fast forward a few years to the great World Wars of the twentieth century and we find that in BOTH instances the children of these “New” Americans were called Americans. In WWI they were nicknamed the “Yanks”, in WWII they were referred to as “GI JOE” but in all cases they were AMERICANS! There were no distinctions. All Americans of all colors, religions, ancestries, (or as the saying goes, race, creed and religion), all bleed the same, died the same and fought the same. [1] Even our enemies made little distinction. [2] If you were to ask them, the US service personal that is, who they were they would first and foremost classify themselves as Americans.

So here is what I suggest.

Let us do away with the Hyphenated American. Let us all go back to being just plain Americans. Let us encourage those that now come to our shores, that THIS is what is expected of them. That while they can look back to their homeland of origin it is only to do so with knowledge that there are those back there that are related to them. Certainly there is nothing that would say, they cannot dress in more traditional clothes of the land of their birth, but do so with the distinct knowledge that you are first and foremost and AMERICAN now.

Secondly, let us do away with terms such as;

African-American

Jewish-American

Spanish-American

There is no need to say or use these terms for any good reason as it only serves to divide us as a nation.

How about if you truly wish to describe yourself as some sort of American, you might say I am American, of Russian decent, which is what I am; native born, of Russian decent, no more no less but first AMERICAN

[1] Yes I know the US military did have segregated units, but let us save that for another time.

[2] History however does record the separation of US POW’s when it came to Jews and Blacks. This was very true with the Germans. The Japanese treated all POW’s equally. That is to say that their worse treatment was not necessarily limited to one specific type of people as all were treated very inhumanely.

Culture of Death Speaker Granted Visa; The Saga Continues

Staff Editorial
The New York Sun
September 07, 2006

"Quite a kerfuffle erupted yesterday over Governor Romney's decision to deny a state police escort to President Khatemi when the Iranian makes his propaganda visit to Harvard's Joseph P. Kennedy School of Government."

Kudos to Governor Mitt Romney. He is showing the type of backbone that a lot of Americans can appreciate.

President Khatemi is an anti-semite, of that there is no doubt.  He has been invited to speak to those that cannot recognize evil when it confronts them in the face.   They are haters of America, and as such will do anything to embarrass this nation.

This is not a question really being interested in what Mr. Khatemi has to say, as it is more of an opportunity to:
A) Bash Bush
B) Bash America
C) Spew Anti-Israel diatribes

All of this is will be contained in a speech on the topic of "Ethics of Tolerance in the Age of Violence".

I am quite certain, that Mr. Khatemi will most surely touch on every aspect of this subject. Including his acceptance of the Nation of Israel.  However I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

Governor Romney however shows that he understands the nature of our enemy and it is a testament to him for taking a stand.

Taken With a Grain of Salt

UN to send experts to Israel, Lebanon

Associated Press
Jerusalem Post

"Four UN experts will visit Israel and Lebanon to investigate alleged human rights violations committed during the Israel-Hizbullah war, the United Nations said Wednesday...Their mission is separate from a three-member inquiry commission named earlier this month to investigate alleged Israeli abuses committed during the month-long war with Hizbullah after the council condemned Israel's offensive in Lebanon."

So the UN is sending another team to investigate the Isreali-Hizbollah war crimes? Why not just send a team headed up by the likes of Jimmy Carter.  I am sure that they will most definately give a fair and balanced assement of ALL abuses,,,,,NOT!

Taken as fact that the UN is one of the most anti-semtic organizations on the face of this planet this so-called impartial investigation will more than likely come down on the side of Hizbollah.

New York Times Please Take Note

Judge in Aipac Case Has Pattern On Free Speech

BY JOSH GERSTEIN
Staff Reporter of the Sun
September 6, 2006

"In the coming weeks, Judge Ellis, 66, is expected to preside over the trial of a case that has fit that pattern so far, the prosecution of two pro-Israel lobbyists for obtaining and conveying classified information to journalists and Israeli diplomats...'Common sense and the relevant precedent point persuasively to the conclusion that the government can punish those outside of the government for the unauthorized receipt and deliberate retransmission of information relating to the national defense,' the judge, who sits in Alexandria, Va., wrote...The decision distressed First Amendment advocates, who see little obstacle to similar charges against reporters.'...It is certainly one plausible reading of the law, but reading it as Judge Ellis does, and more importantly, reading it as the Department of Justice does, imperils not just these two former Aipac employees, but every journalist who writes about national security matters,' a First Amendment lawyer in Manhattan, Floyd Abrams, said. 'It's a deeply threatening case.'"

Rest assured that we can expect to see the ACLU involved in this case in very short order.  No doubt the legal eagles of the Librocrats will descend upon this case in no time.  And once this case gets going it will be MSM news for weeks to come.  And as usual the MSN will be bemoaning the fact that it is their first amendment right that is in jeopordy.  More to the point it is their selfish self intrest to undermine the current adminstration and the loathing of everything it stands for that is at stake in this case.

I would add here that this is the same MSM had NO PROBLEMS with loyalty and security when it came to the Valerie Plame case, (who at that time was no longer a covert operative, nor a field agent so her "outing" DID NOT put her in any jeopordy) were calling for "Scooter" Libby's head on a silver platter.  And finally after months of legalities in an editorial by the Washington Post we find that all the allegations by Joe Wilson et al, were unfounded.  All of this translates into:

"We can't make a case and stick this to Bush, therefore there is no case, ergo there is no story here."

However, more importantly what we have here is the implications this has to those nice folks at the NY Times that decided that it was in the "public intrest" to break that story about the NSA. In  a commentary I wrote on June 29, 2006, I stated that ALL those responsible for such actions should be punished for said actions.

There is a certainty that the editors and pubishers at the New York Times are extremely interested in this case.  I would suggest that they take heed of this warning, as they themselves were pretty much let off with a slap on the wrist. As I recall, even amongst calls of " off with their heads", there was little done to them and eventually the furor died down.

Labor Day Reflections

The following is a commentary I made at my website for Labor Day 2003

Labor Day Reflections: Big Business, Beware of Big Union!

Let me start off by saying I hope everyone is enjoying this long weekend. I know I have so far, and hope to continue enjoying it.

The history of Labor Day goes back to the year 1882 where a labor group known as the Knights of Labor held a parade in NYC. By the year 1894 the U.S Congress passed a law officially making the 1st of September Labor Day. All of this being noted let me now go into the gist of todays commentary.

For many Americans now-a-days, if you say the word corporations the first thoughts that come to mind are;

1) Greedy
2) Corrupt
3) Non-worker Friendly

Yet todays unions are just about as bad.

Witness how some of the Unions have spent their member's monies. Much of the funds go to supporting candidates that the membership does not always approve. In fact according to an op-ed at the Heritage Foundation some 1.27 million dollars were collected by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees of which approximately $400,000 were spent opposing Republican candidates. While this in itself may not seem so unusual consider the fact that that one third of that union's membership went out and actually VOTED for that candidate. It would seem to me that the union does not exactly express the wishes of its entire constituency.

Another glaring example is the WEA. This union's president will earn close to 240,000K this year, the average staff worker for the aforementioned union will earn a bit over 100,000k while the average salary of a teacher nationwide is around 40,000k. In light of the continually publicized disparities between executives and the workers in the private sector this almost unknown chasm between union leaders and its membership seems rather hypocritical in this writers opinion.

I am reminded here of the United Federation of Teachers. That union recently moved from its headquarters from one location in NYC to a more pricey location on Park Avenue, leaving behind a good deal of office furniture and equipment, while the very schools that they consistently cry over went without many supplies. And they say corporations are wasteful!

Gone are the days when the unions fought for decent wages, the closing down sweatshops and ultimately put into place the mechanisms that eventually led to child labor laws. Today instead, what one finds in their place are huge organizations that in some ways have actually come to mirror the very corporations from which they say they are trying to protect their workers.

On this note I shall leave you. But I also want to leave you with a quote from a friend of mine whose husband sort of puts Labor Day into an interesting perspective;

"It used to be that the holidays got in the way of my work, but now working gets in the way of my holidays." Paul S. of Kansas

A Warriors Salute

DEATH OF A WARRIOR: SALUTING FEARLESS, PROUD HERO OF FDNY & MARINES

By STEVE DUNLEAVY
New York Post
September 02, 2006

"FROM Baghdad is blazing to The Bronx is burning - Michael Reilly was born to be brave.
And he chose to join a warrior class that isn't called "the Bravest" for nothing. He died as he lived - courageously - but bravery is not confined to those who fight fires. Their families, who spend careers worrying, are called on to show unthinkable courage in public while they suffer grievous loss."

There are no words that can convey the loss of this wonderful man from my home state.

Culture of Death Speaker Granted Visa

Solons Irked Over Visit Of Khatem
BY ELI LAKE
Staff Reporter of the Sun
September
1, 2006

"WASHINGTON — The State Department's decision to grant a visa to Iran's former president is sparking a rebellion among Republican members of Congress who seek a tougher line on the rogue country as it flaunts the latest U.N. deadline on its nuclear program."

This is coming on the heals of Havard University asking him to be a guest speaker on the fifth anniversary of 911.

This is simply outragous it boggles the imagination. This is like asking Hitler to say nice things about the Jews.  One has to wonder what the heck these folks are thinking in those murkly little enlightened brains that they so boastfully brag.

I guess they simply do not have the sense to recognize evil when it is before their own eyes.

A Leopard Cannot Change His Spots

The First Word: Why we met with Hugo Chavez
Israel Singer
THE JERUSALEM POST
Aug. 31, 2006

"Permit a Brooklyn-bred Jew the use of British understatement: "Ceaucescu was no saint." He was a warped megalomaniac who had no respect for the idea of human rights and ruthlessly trampled on the dignity of his citizens - reducing them to impoverished helots. He threatened the use of anti-Semitism and on occasion made good on that threat - all the while maintaining an independent policy toward Israel and ransoming "his" Jews...In forceful language, Chavez told us that he has no quarrels with the Jews of Venezuela...But this week, since that hopeful encounter, one must come to believe that the skeptics may have been right and that our willingness to give Chavez the benefit of the doubt was naive. More and more, it seems that ours was a confrontation with a shameless friend of evil."

This really should come as no surprise.  And maybe it was just a hopeful optimism that lead Mr. Singer to this meeting in the first place.  It is hard for me to imagine how a leader of a nation that has repeatedly shown his hatedred of the United States, has hobknobbed with Islamic leaders and has continually made anti-semtic remarks would be anything that what he appears.

One is reminded here of Chamberlian after meeting with Adolf Hitler and his statement of "Peace in our Time"  There is no doubt that Chamberlain negotiated in all honesty and sincerity, but needless to say, Hitler, as true to form as all despots, had no intentions of keeping any agreement, unless it was politically neccessary for the moment.

Not the Best of News But a Suggestion for Resolving the Problem

Pentagon Gives Gloomy Iraq Report
New York Post
By ROBERT BURNS
AP Military Writer
September 01 2006

"Sectarian violence is spreading in Iraq and the security problems have become more complex than at any time since the U.S. invasion in 2003, the Pentagon said Friday.

In a notably gloomy report to Congress, the Pentagon said illegal militias have become more entrenched, especially in Baghdad neighborhoods where they are seen as providers of both security and basic social services. "

Its almost Ironic that Hizbollah was doing the same thing in Lebanon. Meanwhile all those services were just a screen for what they were really doing, and that was building bases of operations from which to wage war.

It would not surprise me that these "insurgents" were mirroring the works of Hizbollah, and trying to goad the US Military into rushing into a trap.

However I offer a suggestion, and that is learn a lesson from Isreal. Probe, raid, gather intelligence. Then use whatever means is neccessary to root these people out.  Start a propoganda campaign in which the terrorists are seen as heartless, cruel thugs that are bent only on destruction and care little as to who gets killed, maimed etc.

Confirmed Part Two

 Hezbollah's ‘victory’
By Charles Krauthammer
Jewish World Review
Sept. 1, 2006 / 8 Elul, 5766

"So much for the "strategic and historic victory" Nasrallah had claimed less than two weeks earlier. What real victor declares that, had he known, he would not have started the war that ended in triumph? Nasrallah's admission, vastly underplayed in the West, makes clear what the Lebanese already knew. Hezbollah may have won the propaganda war, but on the ground it lost. Badly. "

More and more I keep reading this report.  It has largely been disregarded by the MSM. And why is that? Simply because it is not what they want to hear. As I had first reported at Bluecollar Conservative in a piece at Blogger the lebanese people are finally beging to understand the motives of Hizbollah. They are beging to see that they were duped, that they were used as pawns, that they were lied to and finally they were used as bait.  It did not matter to Hizbollah how many of the Lebanese people were killed or how many were injured, or how many were left homeless. All that mattered to Hizbollah were that they were usefull in advancing their agenda. That agenda being the destruction of Israel.

Round Two in the Making

Setting the conditions for disaster
By Caroline B. Glick
Jewish World Review
Sept. 1, 2006 / 8 Elul, 5766

"No country in the world lets outsiders dictate its policies on fundamental issues of national security. Israel must not be the first to do so...Tuesday Shin Bet Director Yuval Diskin warned of the growing threats to Israel's security emanating from the Gaza Strip and Northern Samaria in the aftermath of the latest war. If the proper steps are not taken to stop the massive transfers of advanced armaments to Gaza, he warned, in just a few years, it will turn into a second south Lebanon. "

It would be nice if the United States can learn from this lesson as well. Unfotunately we have folks within our borders that are in league with those from without.

Coffin Bombs?

 Profiling the Dead
By Joe Kaufman and Jeffrey Epstein
FrontPageMagazine.com
September 1, 2006

"One of the biggest concerns for prospective airline passengers is the screening process of flight cargo. According to reports, only a small percentage of cargo that is loaded onto planes is screened for explosives. And of the cargo that is in fact screened, rarely does it include large containers. The question needs to be asked: What if, in our laxity, these containers became a preferred method of attack by terrorists? And what if the contents of the containers being used for the attacks were once living and breathing?  Appalling as this may be, it is far from an unfounded notion. Just this past June, two U.S. soldiers were found dead in Iraq, their bodies rigged with explosives. Reports of the incident described the bodies as being “booby-trapped.” As well, in April of 2005, Al-Iraqiya TV aired an interrogation of terrorist Adnan Elias who assisted in the kidnapping and beheading of an Iraqi police officer, whose body was later used as a bomb loaded with TNT."

Defiling the dead, how low can they go?

Fool me Twice, Shame on Me

U.N. chief says Syria promised to enforce arms embargo on Hezbollah
By Associated Press
Friday, September 1, 2006 - Updated: 08:22 AM EST

DAMASCUS, Syria - U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Friday that Syria would step up border patrols and work with the Lebanese army to stop the flow of weapons to Hezbollah.

Syria will increase its own patrols along the Lebanon-Syria border, and establish joint patrols with the Lebanese army “when possible,” Annan said after meeting with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus.

I'm sorry but in the opinion of this writer the promises made to the UN (AKA Useless Nations) by nations that have gone back on their word on other occassions are virtually worthless. As the saying goes:

"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"
