The Time is Now!

Now More than Ever!
The Bluecollar Conservative
October 9, 2006

Reports are coming in that North Korea tested a nuclear device over the weekend.

IF, indeed this was a test and the evidence is really pointing that way, there is a plus side to the actions of the People's Paradise of NK.

First off, if I were in Chicomtown, I'd be more than just a bit worried. Yes, their puppet finally got to play with his toy. However their puppet is also a few bricks short of a heavy load. Who’s to say, when push comes to shove, he wouldn't lob one their way. And even if he didn't, they are very much well with tne fallout zone. The leaders of PRC might want to FINALLY rein in the little bad boy.

Second, this only will add fuel to such nations as Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea to possibly building their own nuclear weapons arsenals. This can certainly become another worry for the PRC. For should such happen, and it could very well happen, it would leave them basically surrounded by nations with nuke capability and more importantly, the ability to deliver those said weapons. I have said as much at my website,
( http://tbbc01.tripod.com/id34.html )
when NK tested their long range missile over the past summer.

Third, hopefully this will continue to spur on the need for a missile shield. I would hope that instead of the above mentioned nations developing their own arsenals that the USA, Israel and they could jointly develop a spectacular shield system that would render Jong's, and anyone elses, (are you listening Mullahs?) new toys useless.

Of course you will hear the Librocrat pundits saying that it will only increase his paranoia and egg him on to use it. What needs to be done is giving him incentives to desist. And where have I heard that before? Hmmmmm do the words United Nations and Iran come to mind?

Phoney

Once again the DNC, has egg on its face.  Over the weekend Michelle Makin had sent to her an email via a someone in the military.  It picks up a website of the DNC called  Veterans and Military FamiliesIt is supposed to be a sight dedicated to the "support " of US Troops, but as usual that support is a lie.  As you will read at her site the soldier in the photo is not even an American!

You know for a group of people that seem to pride themselves on their Intellectual prowness, they are pretty dumb.  And what galls me the mose is that they honest to God think WE, the average Joe & Joan Americans are stupid.

It just proves that in their hatedred of a President Bush, and their desire to get back in power that they will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING it takes to acheive that goal. Once again I am reminded of Dan Rather.

The First Step

MSNBC
October 08, 2006

"Like other South Dakotans, people in this tiny farming town are confronting a historic opportunity on Nov. 7. They’ll sway a tortuous national debate by making a choice no statewide electorate has faced before: whether to approve a sweeping ban on virtually all abortions. "Read More

My only concern is that if the voters approve this, the left will enlist the aid of the ACLU. As is typical with the spoiled brats of the left, what  they cannot achieve in the arena of ideas, or via the votes of the people they then seek the courts.  For once I hope that the people can finally say:

"WE HAVE SPOKEN!"

The West Awakens?

Is The West Finally Waking Up?

I have said many times over and over on this blogsite and at my own website that should the West, in particular Europe, awakens from its self-induced myopia of Islam, that the Islamic world is in for a world of trouble.

Well it seems that such is slowly begining to happen. In a couple reports via
The American Thinker  it seems that the folks in the UK are begining the see the light, and perhaps are rubbing the sleep from their eyes in relation to the continued unrest by the Arab Street.

In one report British youths are confronting Muslim youths after a
mother and her daughter were viciously attacked by a gang of thugs. The second report involes one Jack Straw who has decided that if he is going to talk to Muslim women, it was going be to face to face. Mr. Staw goes on to defend his position on the basis that the UK is a free society founded on democratic principles, and it is those that come to his country that need to intergrate into its society and NOT the other way around.

Mr. Straw does indeed respect the cultural aspects of those with whom he speaks, but he believes that such cultural differences should be left at ones own doorstep, an opinion I have expressed so many times.

Consider the riots that have occured over the last few months by the Arab street in Denmark, France and other European nations, and one gets the feeling that even the "enlightened" of those nations on the other side of the pond are starting to get fed up with all of this violence.

Perhaps the next time the Arab "rent a mob" goes over the edge and reacts violently over some percieved slight to their religion, the authorities of  the host nation should react just as violently and put it down ASAP.

Foley Firestorm Odorous

Apparently this story is slowly starting to blow up in the face of the Librocrats.  Why am I thinking of Dan Rather?  You would think that they'd realllllly check all the facts and sources before going on to report what could be a real story.  My thoughts are such that there is NO WAY that they can link this to Hastert. Heckfire, it seems they can't even get the story straight at this point.

Turning on Themselves

Jerusalem Post
Online Edition
Khaled Abu Toameh

Ten Palestinians were killed and more than 150 injured in fierce clashes that erupted between supporters of Hamas and Fatah over the past 48 hours in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

The violence, the worst of its kind since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority more than a decade ago, followed allegations by Hamas leaders that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah party were planning a coup against the Hamas-led government. Read more

Looks like the Arab street is fighting amongst itself.  Somebody somewhere will find a way to blame Israel for this I am certian.

Clashing Civilizations

One Last Thing | Post-9/11 conflicts rooted in history
By Jonathan Last
Philadelphia Inquirer
October 01, 2006

"Are we, or are we not, engaged in a larger clash of civilizations? ...If the answer is "We are," the clash long predates 9/11, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and George W. Bush. It predates America itself. It is a clash between Western civilization and the Islamic world." read more

This is what many of us have been saying for quite a long time. This is not about, a war on terror, althought that is certainly one part of a greater whole. It is about a war of two civilizations. One that has throught time, trial and error, advances in modern thought, science and reasoning has brought about the things we see in the twenty first century today. The other is mired in the thinking of centuries of past wrongs, and a past that has kept it in a quagmire of poverty, resentment and hatedred.

Good news in the good fight, Iraqis hate al-Qaeda, too
By Jules Crittenden

"Last week, there was a glimmer of hope in the news from Iraq. Al-Qaeda is on the ropes and sounding desperate, and Iraqis are gaining confidence in their own government and its forces. ... Also in the news last week, poll results from a University of Maryland public policy institute found that 94 percent of Iraqis hate al-Qaeda" read more

I wonder why this has gotten no attention at all. From the New York Daily News:

Calling It For What It Is

Private Papers
 Islamic Fascism 101
On all they’ve done to earn the name.
by Victor Davis Hanson
www.victorhanson.com
September 29, 2006

"Make no apologies for the use of “Islamic fascism.” It is the perfect nomenclature for the agenda of radical Islam...the general idea of “fascism” — the creation of a centralized authoritarian state to enforce blanket obedience to a reactionary, all-encompassing ideology — fits well the aims of contemporary Islamism " read more

Once again Mr. Hanson has hit the nail on the head, and called it for what it is

IF
you have ever read any of Mr. Hanson's work, you would find that the core to all of his opinions is based on the technology, R&D of the west due to the complete freedom that the west enjoys.

I have read several of Mr. Hansons books, and have found that even as far back as the wars between Greece and Persia the advantage most certainly went to Greece  which was pretty much a free society.  The reasoning is almost quite simplistic; A free society has more to lose ergo it will develope better technologies to defend itself.  Couple that with the free exchange of ideas that occur inside of the free society a viola you have the recipe for success in all aspects of life especially in war.

While that superority has narrowed somewhat in the last decade or so, the advantage will still ultimately go to the western nations.  As I have said many times before if the West ever awakes from its self induced slumbers and confronts Islamofacsim with its full might, then they, the new facsists,  will also find themselves on the trash heap of history.

The Nanny Rides Again

September 28, 2006

The Nanny

OP-ED
The Bluecollar Conservative Website

No this is NOT about the TV show that was produced during the late 60’s (?). This IS about the C of NY trying to legislate laws and banning Trans-fats.

Apparently the Department of Health isn’t satisfied with the results of its voluntary plan of compliance so now they are demanding that the use of oils that contain trans-fats be banned via legal decree.

Of course this is just another example of the nanny mentality of the left. The population needs to be protected, or so they claim, so WE the elite do gooders, must do our part to help them in their everyday lives. It is so tough being us…sigh.

Do they have any idea of what this will do? No of course not, but as long as they are saving people from themselves, well then it’s all justified in the end.

The fact that IF this ban becomes law, the restaurant industry and in particular the fast food industry will be forced to use other types of oil to cook their foods. On possibility would be olive oil. Do the do gooders have any idea how expensive that stuff is? No, once again, of course not, but hey, it’s for the good of the people.

Just about anyone with half a brain will realize that the use of more expensive oils will of course increase the cost of the foods being served in these eateries. It is simple Eco101, the cost of the products are passed off to the consumer. But again the do-gooders won’t care, because “it’s for the good of the people”. Who cares if it will in the end cost the people that they are so trying to help more to eat? The Librocrat elite won’t care, they can afford it!

In a simple survey conducted by moi, a respondent, one Libb Y. Rale, stated:

“It’s for their own good, to protect them you know. The common people simply cannot make these decisions for themselves, it effects their health, you know. They need to be protected from those evil fast food corporations. And of course we have to think of the children.”

I leave you with your own thoughts…

Who'd Thunk It?

Poll: Most Europeans oppose Iran strike

GEORGE CONGER
THE JERUSALEM POST

"Support for a military response finds almost no support in Europe, with less than 3% of Russians, and 4% of Germans, 6% of the French, or 8% of the UK backing force, the survey released by the BBC last week said. While opinions on what to do about Iran are sharply divided, few believe Teheran's protestations that its nuclear program is for civilian purposes only. Worldwide, 60% believed Iran is "trying to produce nuclear weapons." In the US and Israel over 83% hold this opinion, as do a majority of South Koreans (76%), Italians (74%), and Brazilians (72%). In three nations, significant minorities believe Iran's nuclear interests are benign: Iraq, 38%, Egypt, 38%, and Indonesia, 35%. However, even in these three, substantially more believe Iran intends to develop nuclear weapons; Iraq, 60%, Egypt, 54%, and Indonesia, 47%."

Why doesn't this suprise me?  However I wonder how many of the European citizens were actually born there and how many were immigrants? The survey does not specify. Many of them might have been Muslims that were asked.  What does amaze me is that even predomently Muslim nations do not believe that Iran is using the nuclear technology for peace purposes.

Precisely, Why Not Victory?

September 20, 2006

Precisely! Why Not Victory?
Bluecollar Conservative Website

This column has been brewing around in my head for the last week or so and is rather long overdue.

“ …there are still some Americans who do not understand that we have been at war…with an enemy who has never hidden his objective of destroying us and all other people who cherish freedom… there can no longer be any doubt about our situation in today’s world: we are at war; not a cold war but a real war…if we lose [it] will mean the end of freedom as we know it…but we need not lose this war…victory is the key to the whole problem; the only alternative is—obviously –defeat…as a people, through our government we must begin this effort by proclaiming that we intend victory as our lot and that we will shape our every move to accomplish it…once having made this decision, which should have been made long ago, we can design our national strategy to achieve it…Americans today must know their enemy…yet there are those among us who still suggest that we can co-exist…these people are the hard core of those who, whatever their reasons, will not and do not recognize the real threat of the enemy without…”

Dear reader, I am going to ask of you a favor, and that is to re-read the above quotation. Then I ask that you close your eyes and think about what is being said, take as long as you wish, I am right here and I am not going anywhere for a long time, then (hopefully if this works as well as I planned), scroll down and see as to who made this statement.

The statement was made by the late Senator from
Arizona Barry Goldwater in a book written in 1962 and is entitled:

“Why Not Victory”

The former Senator was in his remarks referring to Communism. In particular he was speaking about the former evil empire the Soviet Union, and its cohorts.

IF, I had my way this would be required reading for all HS freshman. It is well known that the educational elite lean to the left, however IF I could insert one book it would be this one.

Little did the late Senator know that his words would become so chilling prophetic in this day and age. His words still hold true even to this day. It is amazing to me how it seems that the same people that were sitting with their heads in the sand are still doing so at this time.

Go ahead read the quote again and see if it does not apply to the current war on Islamo-facism.

The senator goes on to quote Clausewitz’ “On War” who says:

“…unity from one standpoint and it is only the keeping to one point of view that guards us from inconsistency…”

Translation:

The nation needs to behind this war 100%, and yet, we do not see this happening. There are, as the late senator said, those that chose to either ignore the reality, or appease those that would do us harm. They are in the words of Senator Goldwater hoping;

“to buy the world for our side rather than to gain its respect by strong action for freedom…we have rather proceeded on the assumption that virtue [is] its own reward and that our only real goal and to make the world love us and perceive our virtue…moreover, we entered this supposed contest for world approval with a kind of guilt complex. (Perhaps the dropping of the Atom bomb on Hiroshima had something to do with it.)…in order to prove that we were not selfish, ambitious, warlike…we [have begun] to lean over backwards and to gear our policies to the opinions of others…American policy has been primarily an exercise in self-ingratiation…because of the overriding importance of having the world think well of us. This sluggish sentimentality, this obsession for pleasing people has now become a matter of grand strategy…”

If this does not sound like the Librocrats, I do not know what else would. Who else but they would feel this way? And what is a marv to me is the fact that the senator saw all of this back in 1962, and his words still hold true today.

It is the suggestion of this writer that all of you, dear readers, put this book on your “wish list” for Christmas. Or better yet get it now. Let your children read it if they are of age, and prove to them that what was true then is true now.

As Solomon said in Ecclesiastes:

“There is nothing new under the sun”

Taking It to the Streets

Muslim Leaders Demand Apology From Pope
New York Post
Online Edition

"Salih Kapusuz, deputy leader of Erdogan's Islamic-rooted party, said Benedict's remarks were either "the result of pitiful ignorance" about Islam and its prophet or, worse, a deliberate distortion. He has a dark mentality that comes from the darkness of the Middle Ages," Kapusuz told Turkish state media. "It looks like an effort to revive the mentality of the Crusades."

After a statement from the Pope made during a speech in the Germany the Arab street did what it does best and that is,,,, well took it to the streets. In protests and violent actions in various nations the "street" proved itself once again that it cannot tolerate any opinion of it's religion.

There were reports of churches being attacked all over the Arab world.  But take note of the Mr. Kapusuz's remarks.  An effort to revive the mentality of the crusades?  Surely he isn't serious?   A dark mentality that comes from the darkness of the Middle Ages?  Is this guy kidding?

The ONLY religion on the face of this earth that is miserably mired in the middle ages is Islam.  The ONLY religion that is currenlty on a crusade is Islam.

Other remarks by the Arab world were expressed in a hope that this remark will not lead to confrontations between Muslims and Christians.  This is like wishing on a star for as long as the Arab world cannot seem to get past critizism or percieved slights, there will always be confrontation.  The question is this, how long will the Western world just sit by and allow this to continue?

Perhaps when people like the President of Iran apologize for their vicious remarks will the Arab street deserve the respect they seek.

Something Stinks Here

Gunmen Open Fire, Explode Car Outside U.S Embassy in Syria
AP
FoxNews.com
Tuesday , September 12, 2006

"DAMASCUS, Syria — Gunmen apparently blew up a car outside the U.S. Embassy and exchanged fire with Syrian guards in a bold attack inside Damascus' diplomatic neighborhood Tuesday, a witness said."

As the title says above, something stinks here.  I just find it hard to believe that Syria, a known supporter of Hizbollah, would actually fight back against an attack against the US Embassy.  I have followed this story all day.

Consider this point

Both Iran And
Syria have both supported Hizbollah with logisitcal support, weapons and money.  Iran is a major player in the world of sponsoring terror groups.  Syria and Iran have very close ties, and yet they DIDN'T KNOW of this group?

Again I say something stinks like dead fish.   So I am going to float a theory. This whole thing was orchestrated by Iran, with the knowledge of Syria.  I mean, the fact that the Syrian security force managed to kill three of the assaulters, and a car bomb was detonated, but yet did seemingly minor damage speaks volumes of the complicity of the Syrian Government in this event.

Bottom line here,,,this was a staged event
