For those of you that might be living under a rock or are too enthralled with the Olympics allow me to update you with the latest MSM outrage, or lack thereof of the UNPROVOKED attack by the still EVIL EMPIRE aka Russia on the little democratic state of Georgia.
First off, I will remind the reader here that during the war between Israel and the terrorist armies of Hezbollah and Hamas that were entrenched within Lebanon there was continuous righteous indignation on the part of the drive-by media against the fact that Israel was causing civilian casualties. The plain truth was that it was mostly unavoidable (considering the enemy had placed themselves in civilian areas) even when the IDF took as many possible steps to avoid such casualties.
Additionally all of the human rights groups consistently chastised the IDF and between the latter and the former had hamstrung the Israeli military from going after the terrorists.
Now contrast this with the Russian military that has deliberately targeted the civilian population and has carried on a campaign of terror and ethnic cleansing, all under the guise of defending its citizens.
The parallels between this and the 1938 invasion of the Sudetenland by the Nazis’ are too numerous to mention and have for the most part been made by so many other bloggers and commentators.
Therefore, it has fallen to me to point out the obvious; where is the MSN outrage against the Russians as to their actions? In fact, they go in the opposite direction of blaming everyone from the people of Georgia to the US for this naked aggression against a sovereign state.
Moreover, all I hear are the sounds of silence.
